I was created to be the joyful Mother of children. (Psalm 113:9) Not the anxious mother. Not the frazzled mother. Not the overwhelmed mother . . . the JOYFUL mother.
I was created to be a mother that doesn’t just feel happy when things are going right, but has a deep supernatural joy when little hands drop the hairbrush down the toilet, when children refuse to nap, and when the smallest one cries all night with a fever.
In HIS presence is joy to the FULLEST! (Psalm 16:11).
If I fight to stay in His presence—to worship Him for His faithfulness, to thank Him that He has everything under control, to praise Him because He is with me during every trial—HE will take care of the rest.
I can have joy as a mother in His presence, and in that joy, I will find strength. (Nehemiah 8:10)
