But how do we raise our children now? On a planet broken, angry, divided.
The same way we have always done in a world opposed to God.
The same way Samuel’s mother gave her long-desired baby to God, though it broke her heart to let him go.
The same way Moses’s mother hid him in the basket, with a heathen nation threatening his life.
The same way Jesus’s mother trusted God’s timing of his conception, even when it was scary and unplanned.
The same way Ham, Shem, and Japheth’s Mother raised them to trust God and their father while the whole world mocked and jeered.
We raise them in faith. We raise them with open hands. We raise them to value God’s opinion over man’s. We raise them in hope.
We may not live in a perfect world, but neither did any mother before us.
We raise them trusting God—for wisdom, for the future, for their souls.
